The intention of this diagram is to allow you to see the main figures of the U.S. Civil War. No time during this country's history was opinion divided as greatly and the culmination was the bloodiest period in U.S. history. The Union side is on the left with President Abraham Lincoln heading the tree. The Confederate side is on the right with Jefferson Davis heading the tree. There are many important figures during the Civil War but we will focus on the most important.
