About Me

     My name is Mr. Fisher.  I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1991 where I received my B.A. in history.  I returned to Bloomsburg University in the fall 2005 to pursue a teaching career. In the spring 2006, I completed my student teaching assignment in Hazleton. My first placement was at Heights Terrace where I taught eighth grade World History. My second placement was at Hazleton Area High School where I taught Pennsylvania History and Advanced Placement United States History.

     In December 2006, I graduated with my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with secondary education certification.  I am certified in both citizenship and social studies.

I was a permanent substitute teacher for the North Schuylkill School District during the 2007-08 school year. For the 2008-09 school year, I have been substituting at Tamaqua Area and Weatherly Area. I have been added to the Blue Mountain and Jim Thorpe substitute lists.

                                          

                                               

                                                                            

 

     I've been employed as a painting contractor and a machine operator at an explosives factory. Recently, I've been a unionized machine operator for a company that made aluminum pigments. The pigment, for example, is the sparkle in automotive paint.

                                                                                                              

     Besides history, I enjoy sports, collecting sports cards, coaching basketball, and spending time with my family, in particular my two sons, Ryne and Sean.
